New season, new you? Let’s start this season off right by discussing how we can keep our shoes clean and looking just as new as it did when we bought it.

I am going to share two products I use to clean my footwear. In addition to the products, we will need a clean cloth or towel to clean our shoes.

The first product is the Instant Cleaner spray. I got this one from Lady Foot Locker years ago. I still have it because I don’t use it as much as you can tell by how dirty my converses look. Unfortunately, they don’t carry this product anymore. I know this because I recently went there to get another one, but they didn’t have this exact one with the brush on top. Also, one of the employees there explained that the company discontinued this particular product. Kids Foot Locker has a product that’s similar to it, but their product is smaller. There are also shoe cleaners like this one available online, but I’m not going to recommend any particular one since I haven’t used any of those. And just to clarify, this product is for shoes made of leather, vinyl, nylon, mesh, canvas, and rubber.

Instructions:

  1. Shake the can well before applying any of the product onto the shoe.
  2. Spray the area you want to clean. Be sure to hold the can 3-4 inches away from the surface when applying the product.
  3. Use the brush on the top to scrub the area where the product was used.
  4. Use a cloth or towel to wipe the area clean.
  5. Repeat if necessary.

Before vs. After: The difference really shows (even though I missed a spot 😊) !

Ah, much better! Be sure to wash the shoelaces afterward so the whole shoe can look clean and brand new.

The second product is the Mint Instant Sneaker Cleaner. I bought it from Kids Foot Locker for $7.48 (including tax). Instead of demonstrating the effectiveness of this product on sneakers, I chose to use it on flip-flops for two reasons:

  1. It’s dirty—obviously. Those are not mine by the way.
  2. This product can be used on different types of shoes, not just sneakers.

In addition to this product, we will need a clean cloth/towel and a brush if you’d like to use one.

Before vs. After: AH-MAY-ZING!

How to Easily Clean Your Sneakers/Shoes

BAM. You can barely tell these flip-flops were dirty in the first place 😆. This product is a great gift idea for any sneakerhead or for those who are trying to find a great product to use to clean their shoes. Also, side note to those of you reading this: this post is NOT sponsored by anyone. I bought & use both of these products regularly, and I think they do a fantastic job with cleaning my footwear and making it look as if it’s brand new. Because of that, I became eager to share the effectiveness of both with you all, and I hope this post has been helpful to you.
